Welcome to the Parish Church of St Mary The Virgin, Burton Latimer

St Mary’s is the parish church in the Northamptonshire town of Burton Latimer, just south of Kettering. We have committed ourselves to working with our partner churches and other local groups to make the love of God known in our community. A focus for this mission is provided by the Parish Eucharist. This is our main Sunday service; it takes place at 10am and lasts a little over an hour. People of all ages and backgrounds are warmly invited to join us as we break bread, worship God and explore how the Bible and the traditions of the Church are relevant to our daily lives. There is a crèche for pre-schoolers and Junior Church for children of primary school age.

Whenever we worship together at St Mary’s we say the following prayer:

Eternal Father

Whose love is made known

in the coming among us of the Virgin’s Son;

inspire us with your life-giving Spirit

that as we grow together in love

for you and your creation

we may share your love

with the people of Burton Latimer

through your Son our Saviour, Jesus Christ

who is alive and reigns with you

in the unity of the Holy Spirit,

one God, now and forever.
